Welcome to De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial College, esteemed Officials from the Commission on Higher Education!
On behalf of the entire school community, it is my honor to warmly welcome you to our institution. Your presence here at DLSASMC for the monitoring and evaluation visit is both a privilege and an opportunity for us to continue growing and improving as we strive to provide the quality education to our students amidst challenges.
The institution, established in 1965, initially offered Basic Education Programs. Over the years, the school has navigated through various challenges. After the closure of its company benefactor, Atlas Mining and Development Corporation (ACMDC), the school launched the College of Education in Academic Year 1996-1997, offering BEEd and BSEd programs with majors in Mathematics and English, as a strategic move to ensure sustainability. In Academic Year 2014-2015, the College of Criminal Justice Education began its operations. By Academic Year 2018-2019, the College of Education expanded its programs to include BSEd majors in Filipino and Science.
The College began with just 67 students, and as of Academic Year 2024-2025, the total population in Tertiary Education across programs has grown to 675. Staying true to the school’s mission of serving the underprivileged, we have maintained an affordable tuition rate of Php 317 per unit since 1996. Despite the ongoing challenge of significant unpaid fees, the school continuously seeks ways to provide essential facilities to enrich the teaching and learning experience. Even with limited resources, the school remain unwavering in its commitment to quality education across all aspects of its academic endeavors.
We deeply appreciate the guidance and support that CHED has consistently provided in shaping our academic programs and ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of excellence. Your expertise in this evaluation process is instrumental in helping us identify areas where we can further enhance our offerings for the benefit of our students.
At the heart of our mission is the desire to see our students thrive, equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. We know that this can only be achieved with the steadfast support of CHED, which helps ensure that our programs, faculty, and facilities remain aligned with the best practices in higher education.
As you carry out this important task, please know that we are committed to continuous improvement and welcome your valuable insights. We are eager to work with you toward the shared goal of advancing the quality of education in our institution.
Once again, thank you for being here today, and for the role you play in helping us develop and enrich the educational experiences of our students. We look forward to a productive , meaningful and inspiring visit.
Welcome, our dear CHEd Officials!
